Waqas Samad

Waqas Samad is Chief Executive Officer of Lloyd's List Intelligence, where he is leading the company's global expansion and innovation agenda as the maritime sector undergoes rapid transformation. He brings over three decades of international experience at the intersection of finance, data and technology. Before joining Lloyd's List Intelligence, Waqas held senior leadership roles at London Stock Exchange Group, including as CEO of FTSE Russell and a member of the Group's Executive Committee, and previously served as CEO of Barclays Risk Analytics and Index Solutions.

Thilo Jahn
Partner, HFW

Thilo specialises in commercial shipping and commodity dispute resolution, including disputes under commodity contracts, charterparties, bills of lading, as well as offshore and shipbuilding contracts.

Before moving to Asia in 2016, Thilo spent five years practising as a solicitor in London, gaining extensive experience in litigation and international arbitration. He handles cases in the High Court and major arbitration forums such as LMAA, HKIAC, FOSFA and the London Sugar Association.

He is ranked as a Leading Individual in Chambers & Partners UK and is qualified in England and Wales.

Thilo Jahn

Thilo 专注于商业航运与大宗商品争议解决，包括商品合同、租船合同及提单等相关争议。

Chen Guoqing

With 22 years of experience in marine insurance brokerage, Chen holds a Master’s degree in Maritime Law from Shanghai Maritime University.

He has handled over 2,000 maritime accident cases, including more than 200 involving vessel arrest, maritime liens, and litigation in domestic and international courts.

Zhang Yongfeng
Chief Consultant, Shanghai International Shipping Institute

Zhang Yongfeng, Secretary and Chief Consultant of the Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, and Director of the International Shipping Research Institute, young expert in waterborne transport institute at the Ministry of Transport, and editorial board member of the Journal of Transportation Engineering.
Mainly engaged in research and consulting in ports, shipping, logistics, and related fields. He has completed more than 130 consulting projects including the Shanghai International Shipping Center's 14th Five-Year Plan and the development strategy research of Guangzhou International Shipping Center under its global city positioning, led and participated in six provincial and ministerial-level projects, published more than 40 applied papers related to port shipping, and contributed to the writing and publication of nine books including "Outlook on China's Shipping Development in 2030," "Port Economic Development Models and Practical Exploration," and "Development of the International Shipping Center from a Global Perspective."

主要从事港口、航运、物流及相关领域的研究与咨询工作。已完成包括《上海国际航运中心“十四五”规划》、在全球城市定位下的《广州国际航运中心发展战略研究》等在内的咨询项目130余项；主持和参与省部级科研项目6项；发表港航相关应用型论文40余篇；参与撰写并出版《2030年中国航运发展展望》《港口经济发展模式与实践探索》《全球视角下的国际航运中心发展》等著作9部。

Yuan Chao

Yuan holds a master’s degree in Project Management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Yuan currently serves as General Manager of Strategic Planning, General Affairs, and the Board Office at CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Leasing Co., Ltd., overseeing corporate strategy, equity investment, digital transformation, state-owned enterprise reform, and board development.

Mr. Yuan is well versed in shipping finance and international shipping markets, and has extensive experience in strategic management, shipping investment, and the development of boards of listed companies. During Yuan’s tenure, related achievements have received honors including the First Prize of the National Enterprise Management Modernization Innovation Achievement Award, the First Prize of the China Defense Science and Technology Industry Enterprise Management Innovation Achievement Award, and the Shanghai Financing Leasing Young Talent Award.

袁超

袁超毕业于上海交通大学，获项目管理硕士学位，现任中中国船舶集团（香港）航运租赁有限公司战略规划部、综合管理部及董事会办公室总经理，负责公司战略、股权投资、数字化转型、国有企业改革以及董事会建设等相关工作。

袁超深耕航运金融与国际航运市场，在战略管理、航运投资以及上市公司董事会建设方面拥有丰富经验。任职期间，相关成果先后荣获国家企业管理现代化创新成果一等奖、中国国防科技工业企业管理创新成果一等奖，以及上海融资租赁青年英才奖等多项荣誉。

Shen Cichen

Based in Hong Kong, Cichen Shen is the APAC Editor for Lloyd’s List. He is responsible for steering the APAC editorial team and covering a wide range of maritime sectors, from shipping and shipbuilding markets to compliance and regulations.

Previously Lloyd's List's China Editor, Cichen is a consistent provider of first-hand news and insights about the country’s fast-changing maritime industry and its influence on world trading patterns.

He is also an experienced moderator and speaker at various industry events.

亚太区主编 | 劳氏日报

常驻香港，慈晨现任《劳氏日报》（Lloyd’s List）亚太区主编，负责领导亚太编辑团队，报道范围涵盖航运及造船市场、合规与监管等多个海事领域。

此前，慈晨曾担任《劳氏日报》中国区编辑，长期提供有关中国快速变化的海事产业及其对全球贸易格局影响的一手新闻与深度洞察。

同时，他也是多项行业活动中经验丰富的主持人和演讲嘉宾。

Wang Yong

Deputy General Manager of Loss Prevention Department, Marine Master | China Shipowner Mutual Assurance Association

Mr. Wang Yong obtained a Bachelor‘s Degree in Navigational Technology from Dalian Maritime University in September 2001 and a master’s degree in Maritime Safety and Environment Management from World Maritime University in August 2014. He has more than 10 years of sea-going experience in charge of ship operation, crew management and cargo operation business. He joined CPI in May 2016, and is responsible for loss prevention materials posting, technical supporting, lecturing, ship visiting and other loss prevention works.

王勇
防损部副总经理 | 中国船东互保协会

王勇先生现任防损部副总经理。2001年9月毕业于大连海事大学航海学院船舶驾驶专业，取得工学学士学位；2014年8月毕业于世界海事大学海上安全与环境管理专业，取得理学硕士学位。王勇先生具有船长资格证书和船舶驾驶中级职称。曾有十余年的航海工作经验，积累了大量有关散货船、杂货船及集装箱船舶运输操作、人员管理及货物操作等方面的实践经验。2016年5月加入中国船东互保协会，负责编辑发布防损资讯，提供防损技术咨询，开展业务讲座和防损访船等工作。
