The annual Lloyd’s List Shipping Outlook Forum has established itself as the agenda-setting event of the maritime calendar, gathering an exclusive panel of the industry’s leading lights along with Lloyd’s List and Lloyd’s List Intelligence experts to directly answer the critical questions shaping maritime markets.

We are in a period of profound transformation—marked by decarbonisation, heightened security risks, and evolving regulations.

This year’s Outlook Forum returns to Trinity House in London on December 5 to tackle those issues head on via a candid discussion with shipping leaders who will offer up their views on the opportunities and threats that lie ahead for the industry in 2025 and beyond.

Topics on the agenda this year will include:

  • What are the most significant risk factors affecting core shipping markets over the next 12-18 months
  • Has the shipping industry moved from laggard to leader when it comes to decarbonisation?
  • Is innovation stalling in shipping?
  • How does shipping bridge the gap between fossil and zero carbon fuels and will the IMO catalyse investment?
  • Are maritime supply chains reconfiguring around geopolitical risk and how resilient are they?
  • Who are the winners and losers in shipping over the next decade?
  • Has shipping taken its eye off the ball when it comes to safety?

As part of the debate, attendees and speakers will be asked for their industry outlook predictions via a live voting system.

The consensus view from the forum is then combined with the results of a series of online Lloyd’s List reader polls to create a uniquely informed overview of the key issues that will determine the fortunes for shipping businesses in the years to come.

The results will be published in the annual Lloyd’s List Outlook special report at the end of the year.
