Overview

The annual Lloyd’s List Shipping Outlook Forum is the agenda-setting event of the maritime calendar, gathering an exclusive panel of the industry’s leading lights along with Lloyd’s List Intelligence experts to directly answer the critical questions shaping maritime markets.

We are in a period of profound transformation—marked by decarbonisation, heightened security risks, and evolving regulations.

This year’s Outlook Forum sponsored by Lloyd's Register returns to Trinity House in London on December 11 to tackle those issues head on via a candid discussion with shipping leaders who will offer up their views on the opportunities and threats that lie ahead for the industry in 2026 and beyond.

Questions to be answered at this year’s Lloyd’s List Outlook Forum include:

  • What are the most significant risk factors affecting core shipping markets?
  • When will shipping return to the Red Sea?
  • What is the best investment opportunity for shipping in 2026?
  • What will be the dominant fuel for new buildings in the coming decades?
  • How is the ‘shadow fleet’ evolving and has it peaked?
  • Has shipping been ‘left in limbo’ by confusing and ineffective sanctions policies?
  • What tactics are shipping’s bad actors deploying to obfuscate ownership?
  • Are trade tensions and geopolitics recalibrating maritime trade?
